Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to take an interest in acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. His television characters are gaining him lots of recognition. He is able to play characters from both good and bad sides that are part of our legal system. He can draw the attention of viewers easily. He was the voice of a serial murderer in his first television series project and then went on to play the role as an NYPD detective. For his performances on small screens, he's received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. He was named as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
